Management, Supervisory and Confidential Personnel

Vacation Allowances For Management Personnel

1. Certificated Management - Less than 12-Month Personnel

Management personnel employed on less than a twelve-month, full-time basis shall not be entitled to an annual vacation with pay.

2. Classified and Certificated Management - 12-Month Personnel

With the exception of classified management personnel eligible to receive overtime pay, classified and certificated management personnel employed on a twelve-month, full-time basis shall be entitled to an annual vacation with pay of 25 working days. They shall earn paid vacation days at the rate of 2.083 days for each month worked.

3. Confidential Personnel

Confidential personnel (12-month employees) are eligible to receive overtime pay and shall earn vacation at the rate of one day per month during their first year* of service for a maximum of 12 days. During years* two, through five, confidential personnel shall be entitled to receive 12 days plus one additional day of vacation for each year* of service completed for a total of 16 days of vacation per year at the end of the fifth school year*. Commencing with the sixth school year*, confidential personnel shall be entitled to receive two additional vacation days per year of service completed up to a maximum of 25 days of vacation per year, which occurs at the end of the 10th school year* of service.

4. Management Supervisory Personnel

Supervisory personnel shall earn vacation at the rate of one day per month during their first year* of service. During years* two, through five, supervisory personnel shall be entitled to receive 12 days plus one additional day of vacation for each year* of service completed. Commencing with the sixth school year*, supervisory personnel shall be entitled to receive two additional vacation days per year* of service completed up to a maximum per year of 23 days for 10 month employees, 24 days for 11-month employees, and 25 days for 12-month employees,

5. Officially-designated holidays that fall within a scheduled vacation period shall not be considered as vacation time.

6. Vacation time should be taken within a twelve-month period after it is earned, and may not be accrued beyond a total of 32 days.

7. Upon termination of employment within the district, personnel shall be reimbursed at the full rate of pay for unused vacation time, not to exceed 32 days.

8. All vacations shall be taken at such time or times as may be designated or approved by the Superintendent.

* Years of service are calculated from July 1 to June 30.
